SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24
Fall Foliage Festival Annual Leaf Hunt - This event dates back to 1965. Brightly colored paper leaves will be hidden around the area in scenic locales. Contestants who find these leaves will be awarded prizes donated by Northern Berkshire merchants. The rules and clues will be published in the September 24th North Adams Transcript. Farmer’s Market - 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM - in the St. Elizabeth’s of Hungary Municipal Parking Lot across from MASS MoCA, the market is in operation with harvest season fruit, vegetables and other produce and home-made goods for sale. Backyard farmers are invited to sell their crop as well. Call City Hall for details, 413-662-3000.
2nd Annual Harvest Fest – 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM - in the Western Heritage State Park. Join us for many activities and programs throughout the afternoon, including: the 10th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Civil War reenactors; Sunshine Bagels; North Adams Historical Society Museum activities; Jane Garb ceramics, Hoosac Harvest CSA, Song Sailor Studio soap making, loom weaving, and butter churning; Imagine Celebrations face painting and fall crafts for children; Civilian Conservation Corps truck and demonstrations; Ryan Miller hand-hewn log demonstrations; Kelly’s Package Store beer garden tasting to raise money for the North Adams Food Pantry; Classic Cartoon movies and shadow theatre; Cider Mountain Jammers; and, delicious grilled items for sale by the Freight Yard Pub. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25
Children’s Fair – 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Adjacent to Joe Wolfe Field in the Noel Field Athletic Complex. Entertainment, low priced refreshments, games and attractions will be provided for an enjoyable afternoon for kids aged up to the mid-teens. Rain Date is Saturday, October 1
Children’s Road Race - Registration begins at 11:30. Races begin at 12:00 PM. Five age categories for boys and girls, including tots that are three years of age and younger; all the way up to eleven years of age. Awards for top finishers, and participant ribbons for all registered runners. The event is free. Rain Date is Saturday, October 1
1st Annual Motorama! – 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Downtown North Adams. The City of North Adams, in conjunction with Develop North Adams (DNA), will host its first Annual Motorama. Main, Holden and Eagle Streets will be closed to all but pedestrian traffic as downtown North Adams fills with cars, trucks, motorcycles, snowmobiles and tractors. In addition to looking at meticulously restored and maintained vehicles, attendees can enjoy music from the band Static, 50/50 raffles, food, shopping and more! FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30
The Annual Children’s Parade - 5:00 PM - on Main Street in North Adams. Children from throughout Northern Berkshire are encouraged to make costumes and enter the parade. This year’s theme is “Take ‘PAWS’ in Northern Berkshire.” Participants need to arrive at the corner of Main and Eagle Streets at 5:00 PM. The parade will begin at 5:30 PM and will proceed west on Main Street to City Hall. Ribbons will be given to all participants. Group and float winners will be invited to participate in the Fall Foliage Parade on Sunday, October 2.
DJ in the Lounge Area – 5:00 PM - Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 515 Curran Highway. The Ladies Auxiliary will also be selling hamburgers, hotdogs, cheeseburgers, french fries and soup, beginning at 5:00 PM

Dog Day of Fall Pet Psychic – 10:00 – 11:30 AM - at the North Adams Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Following the dog parade, bring your pets to the North Adams Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for a free pet psychic reading. Regionally-known pet psychic Bonnie Strange, will provide the free readings. Bonnie Strange’s remakrable intuition and ability to communicate with animals allows owneres to learn more about their pets and their needs. Dogs, cats, and any other pets are welcome. Parking will be reserved in the Wells Ave. parking lot. Enter through the Wells Ave. entrance. Light refreshments, including pet treats, will be provided.

Barbecue Grilling – 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM - Walmart Parking Lot. BBQ offerings at the entrance of the Walmart parking lot (parade staging area). Hot dogs, hamburgers, and cold drinks. Proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of North Adams’ children’s Christmas party.
