Lexington MA Fall Foliage Does History Right
Historic Lexington is known for many things.
On April 19, 1775, a battle on Lexington Green between the Minuteman and British redcoats started the American Revolutionary War. No muskets were going off this day but there was an explosion of color on October 13.
Take a wide-angle lens and a good telephoto lens and walk around the Lexington Green which is a triangle Between Massachusetts Ave., Bedford Street, and Harrington Road. The Minuteman statue at the southern end of this triangle, as seen in my photos.
I’m sure if you spend more time than I did, (I was late for work) you’ll be able to find a much better angle to photograph the statue and the fall colors.
Lexington has many scenic historic sites that you can explore and I’d love to see what you find after your trip.
As a suggestion, I would take a walk, run, or bike ride on the BattleRoad that the British took to come to Concord to capture our cannons and powder. When they retreated we chased them back to Boston along this historic road.
As you can see in this image you might find beautiful fall colors along this route.

The old North Bridge is not too far away in Concord; that will be my next fall foliage location to send your way.
Be sure to let me know if you like finding historic sites like this one and fall foliage together or, do you prefer something else with your fall foliage.
