What To Do if You Can’t Make it to New England? — 6 Comments

  1. Thanks for getting me to think about fall foliage…Good to have something pleasant to think about.
Your picture of The Vermont Country Store is one of my favorites..My wife has taken that picture every year that we have been “Leaf Peeping” Each year the setting is a little different but always beautiful!
    Again Thanks,
    Hoss

    • Its a lot more pleasant than the rest of what is going on. I will keep reminding people about the more pleasant aspects of travel that we tend to forget at these stressful times.
Stay healthy and safe to you and everybody!

  2. Jeff, I was going to buy a NH/VT Gazetteer but someone had commented that the newer ones didn’t show certain areas.
Buyer wrote, “Earlier editions would show unimproved (dirt) roads, abandoned building foundation holes, vernal ponds and differing areas of vegatation. This edition omits several unimproved roads still in common use where I live. It’s useful for showing state campgrounds, recreation areas and boat launch ramps. Keep a magnifying glass handy, some print is tiny!”
Would I benefit buying an older version, if one is available?
    Thanks
    Mary

    • Hi Mary, I have several variations of gazetteers. One of the NH/VT but another 3 Vermont books, 2 NH and one of the rest. Lisa has noted the new ones no longer have the lists of covered bridges so they do change them and there are reasons to keep them
