The Basic Rules of Fall Foliage

New England Fall Foliage avatarPosted on April 11, 2016 by Jeff FoliageMay 25, 2023

Maybe instead of rules, we should say “guidelines”. Because most people will tell you, who have any experience at all, rules are meant to be broken. In 2012 during September, we were getting low temperatures in the 40s and upper … Continue reading →

 Testimonial
Hello, Just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for your help in planning our New England trip this weekend!

We arrived Wednesday night and I’m currently in the airport about to fly back home to NC. Based on your recommendations, we decided to stay in southern New England- we flew into Providence, drove to Old Sturbridge Village, spent some time in the quiet corner of CT and drove down 169 to Mystic.

We spent yesterday and today in Newport. Everything about this trip was beautiful and wonderful! I have no idea if the foliage is “peak” for the area but for us it was just perfect. The trees were beautiful shades of orange, yellow, red, and some green.

I just wanted to say that I appreciate the help you gave us- we never would’ve known to visit these areas if you hadn’t suggested them in one of your posts and we are had the most wonderful trip! Thanks! Meredith Spangler
