Old Barns in Autumn

New England Fall Foliage avatarPosted on February 7, 2018 by Jeff FoliageFebruary 3, 2025 8

I don’t know about you but I love old farms and barns which as you can guess, extends to covered bridges. Something about an old barn that makes me want to capture it. I even have a bench made by a craftsman in Petersham Massachusetts. He said the wood was from a barn built around 1770 or just before the Revolution. … Continue reading →

 Testimonial
Hello, Just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for your help in planning our New England trip this weekend!

We arrived Wednesday night and I’m currently in the airport about to fly back home to NC. Based on your recommendations, we decided to stay in southern New England- we flew into Providence, drove to Old Sturbridge Village, spent some time in the quiet corner of CT and drove down 169 to Mystic.

We spent yesterday and today in Newport. Everything about this trip was beautiful and wonderful! I have no idea if the foliage is “peak” for the area but for us it was just perfect. The trees were beautiful shades of orange, yellow, red, and some green.

I just wanted to say that I appreciate the help you gave us- we never would’ve known to visit these areas if you hadn’t suggested them in one of your posts and we are had the most wonderful trip! Thanks! Meredith Spangler
