As you can see Route 3 and Route 302 are a few seconds away making this an ideal location for your fall foliage vacation.
One of the best things in Jeff’s opinion is that it’s centrally located just off the intersection of Routes 3 and 302 (see map link). This means during the fall foliage season you can head south on Route 302 into Crawford Notch or South on Route 3 to Route 93 for a quick run south into Franconia Notch. If the fall colors are late, then head North on 3. If taking 3, try Route 115 to the Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge.

Did you and Lisa completely give up your day jobs ? Its hard to imagine how you continue to post so any great stories !…. And as a curiosity, how many miles a year do you rack up on your car (s) ?
Well Grant My photography trips between Sept and Dec 15th netter 5,194 miles on the car. These are trips that were specifically for Photography purposes (that is for the benefit of my accountant 🙂
Lisa and I cut back to one car which does safe on Insurance and gas but once in a while it would be nice to have a 2nd car but we get by.
I (Jeff) work fulltime until mid/late Sept when I start my vacation but my work allows me the flexibility to work 3 days and have 4 days off from Late Sept till Halloween. Then in Nov we travel on the weekends usually just day trips.
Soon I hope to retire and take more trips but with this economy… I’m not sure when that will be.
